The other day I was on the Warrior Forum (a forum for internet marketers) looking for free and/or affordable traffic opportunities when I came across an interesting little lead magnet in the war room. The lead magnet was for a list of reliable solo ad providers.
Note: A lead magnet is a freebie or gift that the marketer will give you in exchange for your email so that the marketer can sell to you on a later date. A solo ad is when you pay a marketer to send your offer to their niche related email list in hopes to grow your own list or sell them something.
For one reason or another the freebie was no longer available. However, this put me into talks with Gavin Birchall. Gavin is a serial product creator in the internet marketing niche.

His emails came with a lot of insights on how to create information products. I thought you could learn a thing or two from our email conversation, so here it is for you to read:
Email 1: Defining What a Serial Content Creator Does
Hi Ike
You said you tested affiliate products out using paid traffic right at your blog? Sounds interesting. How is that working out for you so far?
Key point #1: You see I’m constantly looking to partner up with other marketers who have a particular skill in getting results using online I.M. techniques. I help them to dig out that knowledge, create a product out of it and then launch it online.
I’ve been doing this myself (and with other marketers) for years now and have seen some pretty good results along the way.
This helps you to grow big, targeted buyers lists that are always eager to learn and progress with you and buy more of your products and services as they learn and grow with you.
So if you think you have something to share that people would love to hear about, let me know and we can talk.
Your blog and set up looks great btw. Awesome job!
Talk to you soon,
G.B.
Email 2: My Past Experience & Current Online Efforts
Hey Gavin,
So you’re a serial product creator, that’s cool man.
As for me, I run a baby shower site where I sell printable baby shower games. I get free traffic via Google and Pinterest.
Before that, I use to drop ship diaper cakes but had to stop because the drop-shipper I was using was unreliable.
This all came out of me playing around with Google Keyword tool back in 2010 and I learned that the baby shower market was severally underdeveloped so I decided to change that.
Last year, I decided to enter the IM market and I did everything I did for my baby shower site (SEO on and off page) BUT in the IM niche, figuring that i know a lot more about profiting online than the average Joe.
I poured my heart into the content yet the traffic didn’t come like it did for my baby shower site. I soon realized that this is a tougher market to break into.
However, I started last month promoting my content on several different sites and sharing groups and now my traffic is growing (from about 3 people a day to around 100 people a day). That being said, people aren’t optin to my IM funnel like they do in the baby shower niche.

So now my plan is two fold, put out weekly valuable content and promote like I’ve been doing. Always with my eye on the highest yielding tracking source….
Second, I’ll also use Cost Per View traffic. I have a tracking system set up on a virtual private network. Plus, I have experience with paid traffic.
The problem with cost per view traffic is that once you find a high converting landing page (over 10% optins) that lander usually starts to dip in performance.
Now you know why I wanted that solo ad list. I wanted to test some of that traffic out. Forgive me for rambling here.
Have a good day,
Ike Paz
Email 3: Here’s How To Create Information Products
Hey no problem, I love hearing about other people’s journey’s.
So from what I can gather so far is that you’re pretty strong at driving traffic right now, but you’re struggling growing your lists right?
And yes it can be hard to break into the I.M. niche and get people on your side if you’re new.
That’s why I always encourage people to create a product and launch it online. That’s also how you’re building highly targeted buyer’s lists right off the bat.
Key point #2: People are always hungry to learn NEW traffic strategies in our niche so I’m thinking maybe we could create a product around that. A lot of people would love to know how to drive up to 100 peeps to their sites/opt in pages per day for sure.

Key point #3: As for your lead magnet, what I always like to do is SURVEY my lists but of course you may not have one yet, but if that’s the case you can look at what people’s NEEDS are in that particular niche.
Key point #4: Do some research on the Warrior Forum, join some Facebook groups that are I.M. related and look at what kinds of questions people are asking there.
Important Notice: Learn my method to profit daily online –
Eventually with enough research, the answer will pop out at you. You then can create a valuable lead magnet to grow your list a lot faster using the research you’ve done.
Key point #5: You’ll also have a much more targeted and responsive list because you’ve helped them with your freebie as soon as they signed up for it.
Here are some more tips and questions you should be asking yourself:
- Use some ideas from other marketers – It’s okay, believe me NOTHING on this planet is ever 100% original.
- What is getting the BEST reaction as a freebie right now that you could emulate and use as your own to build your email list?
- Have you signed up for any webinars lately that teach list building, driving traffic, getting clients that convert, product creation, email marketing etc?
- Internet marketing Facebook groups are a haven for getting great ideas right now so check it out…
So to finish off what I would say is that IF you manage to consistently get traffic like you are now, for the next few weeks and beyond, we can definitely take that knowledge and launch a product out of it.
If you manage to grow your lists and make affiliate sales too…..
Well now, we DO have an awesome product on our hands we can take to the marketplace.
Talk to you soon.

Email 4: My Role As a Content Creator…
Yo,
Sounds interesting….
Well this week and the next I gotta load content to my baby shower site, IM site and YouTube channels because for the next two weeks I wont be available.
I’ll be on vacation and my family is coming to visit me here in Japan on July 14. I’ll the festivities end on July 29. I can get to work on a product first thing in August.
In case you are wondering, I already have a squeeze page, freebie and funnel set up.
I’d like to know what our business relationship would include. I understand that I’d create the product. Let me know what you’d like to do and for what price.
Thanks,
Ike
Email 5: A Proposal Is Set…
Hi,
Well usually it’s a split 50/50 sales and profits from the launch itself. I don’t charge.

Key point #6: What I do is go about setting up the funnel, putting all the sales pages together, making sure that the buyers get placed onto a buyers list via the email A.R. etc…
Key point #7: I also have copywriters and graphic designers to take care of the sales page. This does have a cost but that’s it really.
Key point #8: I’ll also attract the affiliates too. I have like over 500 of them listed at Warrior Plus inside my main account.
As long as you’re getting good volumes of traffic and consistently doing so, then people will be clambering over themselves to learn from you.
So yeah. hopefully by August your results would have gotten even greater. I’ll leave it with you until then. Keep me updated with your progress and how you’re getting on with making sales from your traffic too.
Until then, all the best and enjoy spending time with your family.

I really enjoyed talking with Gavin, even though I didn’t get what I originally wanted I got to share with you how to create information products from a seasoned pro.
You can check out Gavin at gavinbirchall.com.
Will I create a product with Gavin? I’m not sure yet. I have experience creating printable products for the baby shower market but not that much in the internet marketing niche.
As Gavin pointed out, I’m sure there is a lot involved.
As for right now, I mainly work on creating new content and testing paid traffic. All of this is done to create a strong relationship with my growing audience and to provide value.
I can say without a doubt that if you have a good relationship with your audience ,regardless of your niche, and you provide value then the money will come.
This way, creating information products is more of a organic process. If you think you can add to this topic then let us know in the comments section below.
