Buyer traffic is not only the preferred traffic to get but it’s also easier to rank for. You can get buyer traffic by making review posts and videos.
In this post you will learn how to get this type of traffic with my simple method and free tools, but first, a word of caution:
To write a review post or make a review video without actually trying the product is wrong and unethical so please don’t do it.
Your audience wants you to be as authentic as possible so it’s crucial that you try out every product you review! Now that you understand that, here is a powerful method to profit online with review content.
Power Tip: How To Profit Online With YouTube Reviews
I used the Ignition course to profit online with the methods inside. It’s one of the best newbie courses that you can get to help you profit online!
Now that we got that out of the way, lets talk about how you can get buyer traffic to your affiliate links, courses and printables.
Buyer Traffic Versus Regular Search Traffic
What exactly is buyer traffic? It’s simply search traffic that is further down the buying chain.
For example, if someone is searching on Google for “good lawnmowers”, he or she is relatively ignorant about lawnmowers. All we know about the user’s intent is that he or she is interested in lawnmowers to some degree.
However, if that same person a week later is searching for “Honda Self Propelled Lawnmower Review” then we can safely assume he or she has moved up the buyer’s chain and is more knowledgeable about the topic.
The user now knows what type of lawnmower to get, and the user wants more information before he or she makes the purchase.
The idea here is to target buyer keywords to get buyer traffic to your affiliate links or products.
If you happen to run a home gardening blog, and you’ve used a Honda self propelled lawnmower then you could create a video and/or post about your experience.
In your review, you’d explain:
- What the product is about
- Features & Benefits
- Pros & Cons
You then direct the buyer traffic to your affiliate link with a strong call to action. The buyer makes a purchase, the company makes a sale and you get a commission, it’s a win-win for all involved.
‘Product Name’ + Review Equals Traffic
To get buyer traffic you need to create content around a product keyword. You can improve your chances of ranking your content by adding the word “REVIEW” after the product you’re targeting.
On top of that, you can easily rank your review content on smaller search engines like YouTube or Pinterest.
There are three tools I use to help me learn what to target and how to target buyer keywords:
KW Finder – this online tool is awesome because it’s super user friendly. Just add your keyword and it tells you if it’s easy or difficult to rank on Google, it also tells you how many searches it gets a month. It’s free to use once a day, other than that, it costs 12 bucks a month. Try it here…
Yoast SEO Plugin – after I learn the buyer keyword to target I then write out my content with the Yoast SEO Plugin. I just add my target keyword into the plugin and it prompts me on how to improve my on-page SEO. It’s absolutely free and highly reputable. Get it here…
Pin Keyword Finder – this is an online Google Chrome extension I had created to find keywords people are searching for on Pinterest. It also displays all your keywords so that you can easily copy and paste them into your pin descriptions. It’s free and you can get it here…
I bet you think you have everything you need to get buyer traffic, not so fast! Here is a warning you need to take note of.
DON’T BE a Bridge Blog Sucker
I used to build and profit with amazon affiliate sites back in the day. My two main product review niches were strollers and dishwashers, things were great until Google’s algorithm changed entirely.
All my precious buyer traffic vanished over night and I had nobody to blame but myself.
You see, for weeks leading up to my disastrous experience I read about bridge sites and how Google dealt with these type of blogs.
A bridge website or blog is a site with low quality content, it’s only purpose is to ‘bridge’ buyer traffic from Google onto sites where the product is actually sold. If your review post is simply there to bridge buyer traffic then there is a good chance it will never rank on Google.
To avoid this problem you need to write about other topics within your niche, not only reviews. That being said, there are ways around this problem. You can get around this issue by using mini search engines like pinterest and YouTube.
Case Study Using The Ignition Method
I regularly rank for buyer traffic keywords on Pinterest for the printables I sell, you can get that guide here…
But, I’ve also started ranking for product review videos using The Ignition Method. Here is one review video that I rank for now:
Brenden Pierce is a value driven internet marketer and I can attest to his product, his method really works and I recommend it if you’re looking for a new way to profit passively online.
Important Note: If you buy The Ignition with my affiliate link you will also get my bonuses by purchasing Learn more here…
As demonstrated, you can get real buyer traffic to your products and/or affiliate links. This type of traffic is further down the buying chain then general search traffic so it’s truly a case of quality versus quantity.

Just remember to review products that you’ve actually tried, your audience can quickly discern unauthentic claims and fakers, so keep it real.
