Oculus Go And Google Home Content Creation

In this post I’m going to lightly cover the ways you create and monetize VR videos, Google Home and 3D printing. First, you should check out this video:

Being an early adopter for these new platforms is not going to be easy but the rewards are potentially tremendous.

Oculus Go Is VR For Everyone

Before, if you wanted to try VR, you would have to buy a powerful computer along with the Oculus Rift, and then, you’d have to set it up. However, with the Oculus Go, you don’t need to do any of that. You just put it on your head and push the play button.

This is the first VR head set for the masses! Even the price point is under $200…

As internet marketers, our job is to create value with content and then monetize it. Here are two ways to monetize VR experiences:

  1. The first thing that comes to mind for the Oculus Go are VR experiences based on popular keywords searches for well-known places and activities. You can then monetize these videos with ads.
  2. Another idea is to hire a programmer (fiverr, upwork etc..) to create a VR experience based on a long tail keyword search term.

Oculus Go VR Games To Make

If you WERE to create a game for VR then you ,or your programmer, would probably use an open source game engine like Unity.

Google Home & Voice Query Actions

Back in December 2017 Google released Actions On Google. It’s an online open source developers tool that allows you to create bot-actions for the Google Home assistant.

It’s not clear how you’d be able to monetize this but Google is currently focusing a lot of it’s resources into Google home. I plan to write more about this in the near future, so look out for that.

3D Printing Will Kill The Middle Man

It’s a little to early to talk about 3D printing since these printers are not mainstream or cheap. However, I imagine a day in the near future where people will pay for 3D printer model files off of eCommerce stores to create niche products from the comfort of their own homes.

Hell, I already do something similar with printables, the next logical step is 3D niche products. I guess 3D printing will be the final nail in the coffin for big box retailer stores like Walmart and Target.

Early Adopter Digital Marketers

Just think about the first people who created content for Google, YouTube and Instagram. It was much easier for them to get blog traffic, provide value and to profit online. Why? because there was NO competition.

Oculus go VR content

The same can be said for the emerging platforms I mentioned in this post. Nothing is stopping you from taking action and staking your piece of the digital pie. Let me know what you think in the comments section below.

  • Raymond Makara says:

Hi Ike. Really good stuff here! I like your way of thinking…outside the box! Looking forward to more info on VR, AR, & voice search (Google Actions & Amazon Alexa) stuff!

  • Raymond Lamirand says:

Makes my head spin. Wont be able to sleep tonight…thanks alot ; )

  • Hey Raymond, no problem. its a brave new world and there are technologies on the horizon that we can create content for. I’m also excited about this.

  • Hey Ray! Yea man, there is a lot of stuff to cover. But at the end of the day it’s all about using a traffic source to help people achieve something they want for a profit. This can be education, entertainment, advice etc… all the best!

  • Yes, I’d love to learn more on your progress. Cheers
